The restoration work being carried out on the Pantheon focused on the upper section of the building: the dome, including the cupola and the lantern, supported by the tambour, and the capitals, especially impaired, of the colonnade.
From April 1st, it is possible to climb to the upper section of the Pantheon and discover the 360-degree view of Paris. Every day, a 45-minute tour is organized from 11 am to 4.30pm (every hour). What a wonderful opportunity to pay a courtesy visit to the formers eminent French personalities interred in the crypt, from Voltaire and Rousseau to Alexandre Dumas.
Besides, after a short stay at the Arts & Métiers Museum, the Foucault’s pendulum - first installed in 1851 - has been reinstalled into the Pantheon of Paris.
